Dr. Kirk Smith
Dr. Kirk Smith is a native Floridian from Lake Worth. He is a graduate of Florida State University (B.S. 1989) in Tallahassee, FL and Southern College of Optometry (O.D. 1994) in Memphis, TN. He completed a residency in ocular disease at the Eye Foundation, Orlando FL in 1995.
In 1996, Dr. Smith joined Orlando Eyecare. Continuing to be active in the Optometric community, he acted as president of the Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians, and currently serves as an examiner for the Florida State Optometry Exam.
His interests include: sports and physical fitness. His wife Kris, is a Pharmacist. They have two daughters.
Dr. Joseph Devine
Dr. Joseph Roche Devine grew up in San Antonio, TX where he went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Aristotillian/Thomistic Philosophy, with a minor in Chemistry and Biology at the University of St. Mary and Trinity. From there, he attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 1961.
Dr. Devine established the practice of Orlando Eyecare in Orlando, FL in 1961 and thoroughly enjoyed his patients and career for over 50 years.
Some fun and interesting facts:
- A past President of the Florida Optometric Association and was a charter member of VSP since it’s inception.
- An avid world traveler with his wife Pat, and was an avid tennis player, as well.
- Dr. Devine blessed his 5 children and 11 grandchildren with his love of education, travel and endless enthusiasm for meeting new friends. They all proudly carry on his legacy.
